Apple launches first Apple Intelligence features with iOS 18.1 beta

Apple has begun releasing some of the features of its artificial intelligence suite, Apple Intelligence, with the developer beta of iOS 18.1, available since Monday. First announced during the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in June, Apple Intelligence is now partially accessible to users of iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and M1 chip devices, but only if the device language is set to U.S. English and the region to U.S.

Configuration required and joining the waiting list

To take advantage of the new features, users must adjust the language and region settings of the device and then join the waitlist via the "Apple Intelligence & Siri" menu in the settings. Once accepted, it may take a few days for artificial intelligence models to download, delaying the full availability of features.
