Tesla: The Car that Responds to the Call of the Master

Imagine being in a crowded parking lot, shopping bags heavy in both hands, and with a simple tap on your phone, your car starts moving toward you, almost as if it were a well-trained dog rushing to the call of its master. No, this is not a science fiction movie, it is the coming reality thanks to Tesla.

Elon Musk, Tesla’s charismatic CEO, recently unveiled one of the most anticipated new features for owners of its vehicles: the "Actually Smart Summon" feature. This innovative technology will allow cars to autonomously reach their owners using GPS coordinates. Announced via Social X, the feature will be available with the FSD V12.5.x update, due in August.

But what exactly is Actually Smart Summon? It is an advanced version of the old Summon feature, which allowed for car recall, disabled a few years ago with the abandonment of ultrasonic sensors. Now, thanks to advances in machine learning and GPS technologies, Tesla is ready to reintroduce it in a vastly improved guise. Drivers will be able to get their vehicle to their location within a parking lot, making life a little easier and more convenient.

And it doesn’t end there. "Actually Smart Summon" also promises to help with parking maneuvers, allowing the vehicle to take advantage of tight spaces that would be difficult for a human driver to manage. Although the "Banish" automatic parking feature is not yet confirmed, it may peep out with future updates.

Tony Duan, one of Tesla’s machine learning experts, confirmed that the team has been working tirelessly to make this update possible. Tesla is not only proud of the new version, but is also committed to making it known to the general public. Dealers will therefore be encouraged to offer free demonstrations of the Full Self-Driving feature, showing customers the potential of this technology.

In the meantime, videos and posts illustrating the improvements of FSD 12.5 are flourishing on social media, showing how the system deals with complex situations promptly and intelligently.

And for those already dreaming of the future, October may bring another big news: Tesla’s long-awaited robotaxis, which promise to change the way we think about urban transportation.

In short, with these innovations Tesla continues to push the boundaries of automotive technology, bringing a touch of magic to the everyday lives of its customers. So the next time you find yourself with your hands full in a crowded parking lot, remember: your car may be there, ready to answer your call as a faithful four-wheeled companion.
