ADOBE INTRODUCES NEW AI FEATURES FOR ACROBAT PDF AND ASSISTANT

Adobe recently launched new AI-based features for Acrobat PDF and its chatbot, Acrobat AI Assistant, significantly improving interaction with documents.

With Adobe Firefly and the Image Edit feature, Acrobat users can now create and edit images directly in PDF files. Available options include Generative Fill, Remove Background, Delete, and Crop, as well as the ability to generate images from scratch using the Generate Image command and entering a text prompt.

These new capabilities not only enrich Acrobat’s functionality but are also offered free of charge, albeit with some limitations. Specifically, users of Acrobat Standard and Pro will receive 250 generative credits per month to take advantage of the new AI features for editing and image creation. However, Adobe has specified that this offer will only be available for a limited time.

In addition to the image-related changes, Adobe has also improved the Acrobat AI Assistant. This assistant can now answer questions, provide insights, and summarize information while working on multiple files simultaneously, including PDFs, Microsoft Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations. Previously, the assistant was limited to interacting with only one document at a time.
