The European College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ECOSEP) and Tata Elxsi have formalized a strategic partnership with the aim of integrating AI in sports and exercise medicine. This collaboration aims to combine ECOSEP’s clinical expertise with Tata Elxsi’s advanced technological solutions to develop innovative diagnostic tools, personalized treatment plans and real-time monitoring systems of athletes’ physical conditions.

The partnership focuses on the application of AI in various areas, including predictive analytics for injury prevention and accurate assessment of musculoskeletal injuries. Tata Elxsi has already developed an AI-based diagnostic platform that analyzes ultrasound images in real time, providing precise assessments of tendon and ligament health, with 90% accuracy in quantifying injuries.

In addition, the company has implemented remote patient monitoring solutions, using AI-enhanced smart medical devices, which enable continuous collection and analysis of vital data, improving the management of chronic conditions and optimizing treatment plans.

This collaboration is a significant step towards the adoption of advanced technologies in sports medicine, aiming to improve athlete performance and ensure more efficient and personalized healthcare.

Tata Elxsi will present the first innovations developed in collaboration with ECOSEP at the 9th ECOSEP Congress, scheduled for November 2025 in Düsseldorf, providing the opportunity to share preliminary results and promote further joint research initiatives.
