Rivian integrates NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs into its XR workflows, enabling photorealistic rendering and advanced AI interactions. This combination powers automotive design by improving efficiency and reducing the need for physical prototypes.

Key Points:

  • Superior Performance: Up to 80% faster rendering in Autodesk VRED with Varjo XR-4 versus the previous generation.
  • Advanced Memory: 96GB of GDDR7 to handle complex models without compromise.
  • AI Integration: Voice commands and contextual assistance for more intuitive interaction.
  • Sustainable Efficiency: Reduce physical prototypes with detailed XR visualizations.

In the advanced automotive design space, Rivian has adopted NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition GPUs to power its extended reality (XR) workflows. These GPUs, unveiled at GTC 2025, deliver unprecedented processing power, with 96GB of GDDR7 memory and up to 600W of power consumption, supporting PCIe Gen5 and VR-SLI technology for the simultaneous use of two GPUs.

The integration of these GPUs has enabled Rivian to achieve up to 80% faster rendering in Autodesk VRED with the Varjo XR-4 headset, compared to previous solutions. This improvement has made it possible to visualize extremely detailed vehicle models, such as the California Dune Edition, without compromising quality or performance.

In addition to graphics performance, RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs offer advanced AI capabilities. Rivian has implemented voice commands and contextual assistance, allowing designers to interact with 3D models in a more natural and intuitive way. This integration has streamlined the design review process, reducing the need for physical prototypes and accelerating the development cycle.

The adoption of NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs represents a significant step for Rivian in improving the efficiency and quality of automotive design through advanced XR technologies.
