Adobe today announced a significant expansion of its Firefly generative AI platform, introducing new models for creating images, vectors and videos, along with a completely redesigned Firefly web app. These new additions are designed to give users more powerful and versatile tools for producing creative content.

Key Points:

  • Launch of Firefly Image Model 4 and 4 Ultra, with improvements in quality, speed and creative control.
  • Introducing the Firefly Video model, now in public beta, for generating video clips from text or images.
  • Introducing the Firefly Vector model, for creating editable vector illustrations.
  • Redesign of the Firefly web app, now integrating third-party models from OpenAI and Google.

The new Firefly Image Model 4 delivers improved image generation for realism and detail, at resolutions up to 2K. The 4 Ultra variant is optimized for complex and detailed scenes, giving users finer control over elements such as camera angles and zoom.

The Firefly video model, now in public beta, enables the generation of up to 1080p video clips from text prompts or images. Users can specify camera angles, start and end frames, and add atmospheric or motion design elements.

The Firefly vector model enables the creation of editable vector illustrations, making it easy to generate and iterate on logos, product packaging, icons, and patterns.

The Firefly web app has been completely redesigned to host all of Adobe’s AI models, as well as integrate third-party models from OpenAI (GPT image generation), Google (Imagen 3 and Veo 2), and Flux (Flux 1.1 Pro). Users can switch between models at any time, and all generated images will have content credentials associated with them to ensure transparency into their origin.

Additionally, Adobe announced the arrival of a mobile app for Firefly, currently in development, which will extend the accessibility of generative AI tools to mobile devices.

These innovations represent a further step forward in the integration of AI into the creative process, offering users increasingly powerful and flexible tools for the creation of visual and multimedia content.
