YouTube had previously experimented with a similar feature called "Dream Track", based on DeepMind’s Lyria, which allowed users to create 30-second tracks in the style of famous artists. Currently, "Dream Track" focuses only on instrumental music.

This initiative is part of a broader context in which several platforms are offering AI-based tools for music creation. For example, Loudly offers an AI music generator that allows users to create custom songs by selecting parameters such as genre, energy, duration and instruments.

In addition, tools such as LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio) offer open source solutions for music creation, supporting synthesizers, effects and plugins for complete music production.
