GitHub celebrates a major milestone with more than 150 million developers registered on the platform and introduces a new initiative aimed at boosting the productivity of the global programmer community. With the launch of GitHub Copilot Free, available directly in Visual Studio Code, users can now take advantage of advanced auto code completion capabilities and writing support at no additional cost. Registering with a personal GitHub account provides access to up to 2,000 code completions and 50 monthly chat messages, allowing users to tackle complex tasks, optimize existing code or detect errors with ease.
