Maxsun, while not among the best-known brands in the graphics card scene, is trying to capture a slice of the market due to its ability to offer quality solutions at competitive prices. On December 3, the Chinese PC components manufacturer will officially unveil a new GPU based on Intel’s Battlemage architecture, which is expected to be the Arc B580. The graphics card, which will be unveiled at the same event where Intel will announce its Arc Battlemage Xe2 line of discrete GPUs, will have a triple-fan design, a decidedly impressive layout that suggests advanced temperature management and a focus on performance. Although Maxsun has not yet revealed full technical details, leaked images suggest that the card will feature a black cover and a robust cooling system typical of high-performance solutions. The GPU’s core clock could exceed 2.8 GHz when overclocked at the factory, but it is likely to reach at least that value as a maximum boost in standard configuration. The board’s power configuration is still uncertain, but some hints suggest that it may adopt dual 8-pin power connectors, a typical requirement for GPUs intended to handle high power loads, especially given the potential for overclocking. With an 8-pin connector providing up to 150 W of power, plus 75 W from the PCI-E slot, this design would allow the card to sustain higher power consumption than single-connector solutions. Among other cards in the Battlemage series, Intel is already planning the Arc B570, which, although it has not yet been officially revealed, is expected to feature a 10 GB memory configuration and 18 Xe2 cores, with a boost clock clocking in at 2.6 GHz. While the unveiling of Maxsun’s B580 is imminent, it is unclear whether Intel and its AIB partners will launch both boards simultaneously or whether the B570 will be introduced at a later date.  

With Intel’s growing discrete GPU offerings and increasing interest in custom partner solutions, December 3 could mark a crucial date for the graphics card industry.
