IBM has launched the new version of its Ai models, Granite 3.0, offering an open source approach for companies. IBM has recently revealed the latest version of its AI models, known as Granite 3.0, with the intention of supporting companies in adopting to generative solutions. This new set of models stands out for its open source availability, an approach that differs clearly from that of other leaders in the sector, such as Microsoft, which has opted for a paid access model. With Granite 3.0, IBM aims to simplify the integration of AI in business processes, also offering Watsonx, a paid service that allows companies to implement models in personalized environments within their data centers. Not only that, but some versions of the 3.0 Granite models will be immediately available for commercial use on the Watsonx platform. In addition, IBM has collaborated with Nvidia to provide these models through a series of software tools designed to facilitate the integration of technology AI in corporate operations. These models were trained using the powerful NVIDIA H100 graphic processing units, which represent a reference point in the sector as regards the processing AI. The IBM move to release Grandi 3.0 is in a context of growing competition in the panorama of generative AI, in which companies are trying to optimize the use of technology to improve efficiency and innovation.
