NVIDIA is preparing to discontinue its flagship GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4090D graphics cards starting in October, with a supply shortage expected in November ahead of the launch of its next-generation RTX 5090 and 5090D GPUs. The RTX 4090, which launched in October 2022, has been the undisputed king of GPUs for nearly two years, with no direct competition to challenge its dominance in the high-end gaming segment.
