Qualcomm recently unveiled the new Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, a processor designed for mid-range devices that promises to improve the user experience in terms of performance, power efficiency, and advanced features. Compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, the new chipset offers a 20 percent increase in CPU performance, thanks to a configuration that includes one main core clocked at 2.5 GHz, three performance cores clocked at 2.4 GHz, and four power efficiency cores with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz. This increase in power is combined with a 4-nm architecture, which contributes to greater energy efficiency, with the Kryo CPU saving nearly twice as much as the previous model.

On the connectivity front, the new chipset expands support for Wi-Fi 6E and 5G networks, providing increased bandwidth and connection speed, which are crucial for the optimal use of mobile devices in advanced networking contexts.

The first deployments of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 are expected on devices from brands such as Realme, Samsung and Sharp, with Xiaomi leading the way for the launch of the first smartphone equipped with this processor, expected in September.
